MobileMoney LTD Hosts 2025 Fintech Stakeholder Forum on Digital Credit and Digital Asset Regulation

MobileMoney LTD is set to host its Annual Fintech Stakeholder Forum on Wednesday, 15th October 2025, in Accra, bringing together prominent voices from Ghana’s financial, regulatory, and technology sectors to discuss the future of digital credit and digital asset regulation.

This year’s forum is themed “Harnessing Ghana’s Fintech Potential: Regulatory Frameworks for Digital Credit and Digital Assets.” The event seeks to deepen national dialogue on the evolving fintech ecosystem by examining emerging regulatory trends, consumer protection strategies, and opportunities for innovation.

The 2025 edition is being organized in partnership with the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) and the IMANI Centre for Policy and Education (IMANI). Both institutions will present key research findings analysing Ghana’s preparedness for upcoming digital credit and digital asset guidelines. Their presentations are expected to provide valuable evidence-based insights to support regulatory reforms and guide industry players.

A distinguished panel of experts will lead conversations on the event’s central theme. Speakers include Mr. Selorm Branttie, Vice President of IMANI Africa; Professor Peter Quartey of ISSER; Clara B. Arthur, CEO of GHIPSS; Ethel Cofie, CEO of EDEL Technologies; and Sylvia Otuo Acheampong, Chief Products and Services Officer at MobileMoney LTD. The forum will also feature Mrs. Matilda Asante, Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, as the Special Guest Speaker.

Ahead of the event, Mr. Shaibu Haruna, Chief Executive Officer of MobileMoney LTD, highlighted the relevance of the forum in shaping Ghana’s digital financial future.

“The Fintech space is evolving rapidly, and innovation must be balanced with strong regulatory frameworks that safeguard consumers and drive growth. This year’s forum will provide an opportunity to share ideas, exchange knowledge, and strengthen partnerships that move Ghana’s digital financial ecosystem forward,” he stated.

The Fintech Stakeholder Forum has become a flagship platform for constructive engagement between MobileMoney LTD, industry regulators, policymakers, and ecosystem partners. Each year, it provides a forum for dissecting emerging trends in mobile lending, digital asset innovation, and the regulatory reforms required to promote trust, transparency, and inclusive growth.

Over the years, the forum has also cemented its position as a thought-leadership event, influencing national conversations on financial inclusion, interoperability, and the expanding frontier of digital transformation.
