A suspect in a Mobile Money Vendor robbery attack has been pronounced dead at Gomoa Budumburam(Big Apple) after he was gunned down by Police from the Central East Regional Command Friday night.
Available information gathered by Bryt Fm News Correspondent, Eric Owusu Amponsah suggest that, the deceased resisted arrest and attempted to bolt even after he was handcuffed resulting to his shooting by the police.
The deceased suspect who has been identified as Kwame, including two others, were on police wanted list over a dawn robbery attack of a mobile money vendor at Budumburam (Big Apple) in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region some few weeks ago.
“During an operation by personnel from the Central East Regional Police Command to effect his arrest on Friday night after earlier arrest of one other suspect, the deceased suspect was said to have vehemently resisted and physically wounding a police officer” the reporter stated.
Bryt Fm News reported that Michael Anderson, a 28-year old Mobile Money Vendor was shot by robbers on December 30, 2022 whilst attending to nature’s call at a public toilet facility in Zone Eleven in Gomoa Budumburam.
The dawn robbery attack also saw the operator of the toilet facility robbed at gunpoint by the same suspects.
Michael however, died on January 5, 2023 whilst on admission at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.
