Manso Takorase Traditional Leaders and Residents Praise Hon. Dominic Bonsu for Monumental Development Projects

Traditional leaders and residents of  manso Takorase in the Amansie South district of the Ashanti Region have showered praise on their Assembly Member, Hon. Dominic Bonsu, for spearheading monumental development projects that are transforming the lives of the people in the community.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Hon. Bonsu officially commissioned a newly constructed bridge linking Opanin Yaw Nkrumah Street and ‘NDC Chairman Street’, a project that is expected to ease the daily struggles of motorists and residents who have long faced difficulties accessing certain parts of the town. The bridge, according to locals, is not only improving mobility but also boosting economic activities as traders, transport operators, and farmers now have a smoother route to transport goods and services.

In the same ceremony, the Assembly Member also cut sod for the construction of an ultramodern 20-seater Water Closet (WC) toilet facility for the Takorase community. The sanitation project, which has been awarded to Hamisaac Company Limited, comes as a response to the community’s long-standing sanitation challenges. To demonstrate commitment, 4,300 blocks have already been made available on-site, paving the way for swift commencement of the project.

Traditional leaders, speaking on behalf of the community, expressed deep appreciation for Hon. Bonsu’s efforts, describing him as “a leader who listens and delivers.” They noted that both the bridge and the toilet facility will bring immense relief to residents and contribute to the modernization of Takorase.

Residents who attended the event also lauded the projects, stressing that they would go a long way in improving living standards. Some community members praised Hon. Bonsu for fulfilling campaign promises and proving his dedication to grassroots development.

Hon. Dominic Bonsu, in his address, reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of his people. He assured the gathering that the projects are only the beginning of more developmental initiatives aimed at reshaping Takorase into a model community.

“I am committed to ensuring that Takorase continues to progress. Development is not about words but about tangible projects that touch lives, and that is exactly what I will keep delivering,” he said.

The bridge commissioning and sod-cutting ceremony attracted a large gathering of traditional authorities, opinion leaders, and enthusiastic residents who saw the occasion as a historic step forward in community development.

With these initiatives, Takorase is expected to witness improved infrastructure, better sanitation, and a renewed sense of community pride.
