Hon Dominic Bonsu Assembly member for Manso Takorase electoral area who also double as constituency treasure for the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Manso Adubia constituency of the Ashanti Region , has donated assorted food items worth GH₵10,000 to the Muslim community in his electoral area as they go through the Holy month of Ramadan.
The food items included bags of rice and sugar, soft drinks, bottle water and among others.
Presenting the items today at Takorase Central mosque, the Assemblyman said the gesture formed part of his annual donations to support Muslim communities towards the celebration of their yearly feast.
He acknowledged the importance of the Ramadan fasting and its significance to peace and development and called on all stakeholders to assist in the course.
Hon Dominic Bonsu charged them to continue to pray for peace and stability of the nation and urged the Muslim youth to be tolerant to each other and observe the period as such by emulating and following the teachings of the Imams.
He further appealed to the Muslim communities to train the youth to channel their energies into community development activities.
He asked Muslims in the constituency to pray for leadership at all levels so they can give off their best for the people.
He calls for unity among Muslims and Christians to promote national development especially Takorase community.

Takorase central mosque chief imam who received the items on behalf of the Muslim community expressed the gratitude of the Muslims to the Assemblyman and asked for Allah’s blessings for him.
He pledged to distribute the items accordingly and assured their continuous prayers towards the peace and development of the Takorase and Ghana as whole.
He urged Ghanaians not to downplay the peace and security the country enjoys but to endeavour to live harmoniously to maintain democracy.
The Chief imam call comes on the heels of the approaching December elections and the campaigns by the two main political parties.
According to him, Ghana has enjoyed peace for several decades and the envy of other countries which are enduring terrorist attacks and other forms of instability.
