The 80th Anniversary Celebration of Manso Odaho R/C Primary School in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region was truly a joyful and memorable occasion, drawing together former students, education authorities, community members, and well-wishers from near and far.

Held on the school’s premises at Manso Odaho, the event highlighted the rich history and enduring legacy of one of the oldest basic schools in the district. Established eight decades ago, Odaho R/C Primary School has served as a vital educational pillar, nurturing generations of pupils and playing a key role in community development.

The atmosphere was filled with pride, nostalgia, and a renewed sense of purpose as the entire Odaho community came together to honour the school’s journey and achievements. Cultural performances, speeches, and testimonies from alumni punctuated the day, showcasing the school’s lasting impact on individuals and the community as a whole.

Among the dignitaries present was a delegation from the Amansie South District Education Directorate, whose participation underscored the Ghana Education Service’s recognition of the school’s contributions. Their support, together with that of community leaders, former teachers, and citizens, added weight to the call for renewed investment in rural education infrastructure.

Reflecting on the event, a participant noted, “It was an honour to join this historic event alongside the Amansie South District Education Directorate. Our presence at such a remarkable celebration reminded us of the crucial role this institution has played — and continues to play — in shaping future leaders.”

As the celebration looked back with pride, it also looked forward with hope. With unity, collaboration, perseverance, and determination, stakeholders pledged to continue supporting the school’s growth and transformation. The event was more than just a celebration of the past; it became a clarion call — a reunion of hearts and minds committed to rebuilding and advancing the school for generations to come.

Indeed, as the community affirmed, together, we will build Odaho again — stronger and better.
