At a brief ceremony held in the community, Nana Kyei Baffour I emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future leaders who will drive the development of the Amansie South District. He urged traditional leaders to take a proactive role in uplifting education within their communities, stressing that the success of the youth is a shared responsibility that requires collective effort.

As part of his ongoing efforts to promote academic excellence, Nana Kyei Baffour I made a significant announcement. He revealed that a scholarship package would be awarded to the top-performing students in the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) from Manso Dadease, Koniase, Nkran, and Takorase. The scholarship will cover the recipients’ tertiary education, provided they continue to maintain a high standard of academic excellence. This gesture is aimed at not only rewarding hard work but also fostering an environment of academic ambition and success.

To further motivate the BECE candidates, the Chief donated mathematical sets to final-year students from Manso Koniase-Nkran D/A Junior High School and Manso Takorase. During the donation, Nana Kyei Baffour I remarked, “Education is the key to unlocking the potential of our youth. These items are a small way of encouraging them to work hard and excel.”

The donation was warmly received by both school authorities and students. Mr. Tabi Williams, the Headmaster of Koniase-Nkran D/A JHS, expressed gratitude for the Chief’s timely and thoughtful gesture. However, he also highlighted some pressing needs within the school, including the need for additional teaching staff and the protection of school lands from encroachers. “We are thankful for this support, which motivates our students. However, we urgently need more teaching staff and protection of our school lands from encroachers,” Mr. Williams appealed.

The students, visibly excited by the Chief’s gesture, expressed their sincere appreciation. Many of them promised to work diligently and perform to the best of their abilities in their upcoming exams, eager to justify the Chief’s investment in their futures.
