Manso Adubia MP Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo Refutes Neglect Allegations, Reaffirms Commitment to Constituents

Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo, Member of Parliament for the Manso Adubia Constituency in the Ashanti Region, has firmly dismissed allegations that he has neglected his constituents following the 2024 general elections, describing the claims as inaccurate, misleading, and unfair.

Speaking in a telephone interview, the MP explained that his reduced public visibility in recent months was as a result of health challenges. He clarified that his condition is well known to key stakeholders within the constituency, including party executives, traditional authorities, and opinion leaders, and stressed that his temporary absence should not be misconstrued as a failure to discharge his duties.

Hon. Frimpong Addo assured constituents that his health is steadily improving and that he will soon fully resume his parliamentary and constituency engagements. He emphasized that his commitment to the development of Manso Adubia remains firm and unchanged, noting that his office has continued to operate effectively through close coordination with constituency staff and relevant stakeholders.

According to the MP, efforts to address pressing challenges in the constituency have remained ongoing, with particular focus on education, healthcare delivery, road infrastructure, and sports development. He stated that these sectors remain central to his development agenda and continue to receive attention despite his temporary setback.

To demonstrate his dedication to education, Hon. Frimpong Addo highlighted recent educational support extended to more than 400 senior high school students across the constituency. The support, which was presented on his behalf, he explained, reflects his long-standing commitment to improving access to quality education and supporting the academic aspirations of young people in Manso Adubia.

The MP further reaffirmed his resolve to remain accessible and responsive to the needs of his constituents, describing his mandate as a sacred trust bestowed on him by the people. He appealed for patience and understanding as he completes his recovery, assuring residents that he remains focused on providing effective representation and driving sustainable development in the constituency.

Hon. Frimpong Addo’s clarification comes at a time of increased public scrutiny over the performance and visibility of elected representatives in the post-election period. He noted that such discussions should be guided by fairness, accuracy, and an appreciation of individual circumstances, while keeping the broader goal of constituency development in focus.
