Manso Adubia District Assembly Commences Construction of New Staff Quarters to Address Housing Challenges

The Amansie South District Assembly has officially launched the construction of a new one-story, two-bedroom staff quarters bungalow aimed at improving accommodation for assembly staff. The project, which is set to be completed within eight months, is being executed by Alpha Bee Consult Limited, a reputable local construction firm.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo (Ogunde), the Member of Parliament for the Manso Adubia constituency, reflected on the tremendous progress the constituency has made since its formation in 2018. He credited this success to the unity among key leaders, including himself, District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Lawyer Clement Opoku Gyamfi, and constituency party chairman Mr. Kofi Acheampong. He described their collaborative efforts as the “Holy Trinity” that has been crucial in driving the district’s rapid development.

“This Assembly is a blessing to our district,” Hon. Frimpong Addo stated. “Since 2018, we have seen massive progress because of the strong collaboration between the MP, DCE, and the party chairman. This unity will continue, and we are confident that the district will continue to see more development under the leadership of the Dr. Alhaji Bawumia government.”

He also emphasized that the district’s developmental projects would not slow down, highlighting the importance of this unity in ensuring the continued growth of the area. “The Assembly is committed to furthering the development agenda for the betterment of all residents,” he added.

District Chief Executive Hon. Lawyer Clement Opoku Gyamfi acknowledged the long-standing housing challenges faced by the Assembly’s staff. He noted that the staff had raised several concerns about inadequate accommodation, which had become a significant worry for the management of the Assembly. To address this, the construction of the new staff quarters was prioritized, and the DCE assured the public that the funds for the project were already secured for its successful completion.

“We are fully aware of the accommodation difficulties faced by our staff, and we are committed to resolving this issue,” said Hon. Opoku Gyamfi. “The money for the project is already in place, and we are ready to see it through from beginning to end.”

He also took the opportunity to remind staff members who will benefit from the new quarters to pay their monthly dues promptly. “I urge those who will reside in the new staff quarters to honor their financial obligations by paying their dues on time,” he advised. “It’s equally important for everyone to take care of the facility so that it remains in excellent condition for long-term use.”

The ceremony also saw the representation of Manso Adubiahene, Nana Doku Danquah Brempong, through his spokesperson, Kyeame Efah, who reiterated the support of the traditional leadership for any developmental projects in the district. Kyeame Efah affirmed that lands are available for future government projects, further enhancing the district’s potential for development.

“The people of Manso Adubia district have benefited immensely from the developmental initiatives under the NPP government, led by President Nana Akufo-Addo,” Kyeame Efah remarked. “We strongly believe that with Dr. Alhaji Bawumia becoming the next president, the development agenda will continue to thrive, bringing even more opportunities for our people.”

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new staff quarters is a major step toward addressing the housing challenges within the Manso Adubia District Assembly. It underscores the administration’s commitment to improving the working conditions of its staff while continuing to drive progress in the region. The district looks forward to the timely completion of the project and the positive impact it will have on both assembly staff and the wider community.
