Man dies in an attempt to rescue a goat

A well driller has met his untimely death after attempting to rescue a domestic animal from a well at Mim Zongo in the Ahafo region.

The deceased, Siaw Antoh, was about to have dinner with his wife when he was informed about a goat that had fallen into a well.

Reporting the incident on EZRA TV/FM’s Ayehu Program on Thursday, July 28, 2022, a reporter, Sulley, said the well driller, who is an expert driller, decided to rescue the goat from the well full of water.

He said Siaw was able to rescue the goat, but in an attempt to get out of the well, he slipped and fell into the well.

The reporter told the host that both the well-driller and the goat died in the well.

The incident, according to the reporter, has shaken the confidence and nerves of the residents in the area.

The body of the deceased has been retrieved from the well and deposited in the morgue.
