Man, 40, Remanded For Killing Wife At Ofoase Kokoben

The Bekwai District Magistrate Court has remanded a 40-year-old man, Stephen Appiah, for allegedly killing his wife Afia Abrefi at Ofoase Kokoben community in Bekwai Municipality in Ashanti Region.

The prosecuting officer, Chief Inspector D.Y Yeboah, said police got information that the wife of Stephen Appiah was missing.

The suspect was therefore arrested during the investigation.

He confessed to killing his wife by hitting the head multiple times against a wall killing her instantly.

He then wrapped the body in a bag and dumped her in a bush.

He led the Police to the scene to retrieve the body and deposited it at the morgue.

The Prosecutor prayed the court to remand the suspect to enable police to conclude its investigation which was granted.
