Life-Giving Family Foundation Touches Lives of Over 1,000 Vulnerable People on New Year’s Day

On January 1st, 2025, the Life-Giving Family Foundation spread joy and compassion to over 1,000 marginalized individuals in the Kumasi Metropolitan area. The foundation’s New Year outreach focused on street children, mentally ill persons, refugees, and others in need. With the distribution of meals and essential supplies worth millions of cedis, the initiative brought relief and comfort to those who often go unnoticed during the festive season. The outreach took place at various locations such as Gee Roundabout, Kejetia, Roman Hill, Alabar, Tinker Base, and Cultural Central.

Led by Mr. Prince Kofi Yeboah, the Life-Giving Family Foundation’s mission is to provide support to society’s most vulnerable members, especially during times when they are often overlooked. Volunteers and foundation staff worked together to ensure that those struggling with basic needs received food, clothing, and other essentials.

Mr. Yeboah, whose personal experience with hardship has fueled his passion for helping others, shared his thoughts on the initiative. “This outreach is about offering hope to the needy, especially street children and people living with mental illness,” he said. “I understand their struggles because I’ve been in similar circumstances. If these children had family support, they wouldn’t be on the streets. Our aim is to bring some relief and make their New Year a little brighter.”

In addition to providing physical aid, volunteers engaged with the beneficiaries, offering emotional support and companionship. This connection was essential to the foundation’s mission, as it goes beyond simply giving material assistance. Volunteers took time to listen to the struggles of the marginalized and offer words of encouragement, reminding them that they are valued members of society.

Miss Charity Mensah , the secretary of the Life-Giving Family Foundation, emphasized the organization’s commitment to Christian values, which drive their work. “As Christians, we are called to care for the sick, the hungry, and the marginalized,” he explained. “This outreach is part of our Christian duty to help those in need, and it is our privilege to bring hope and comfort to those who have been forgotten by society.”

The outreach made a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, who expressed deep gratitude for the kindness shown to them. Many shared how the gesture gave them a sense of hope and belonging during a time when they felt isolated and invisible.

Miss Charity Mensah also issued a call to the broader community, urging others to join in supporting those in need. “We encourage everyone to help those who are struggling. It’s through acts of kindness that we truly show love for our neighbors,” he said. “We invite others to join us in this mission and be a part of making a real difference in the lives of the vulnerable.”

The foundation expressed its appreciation to sponsors, partners, and supporters who made the outreach possible. Special thanks were given to Mrs. Florence Arhin, Dr. Kwaku, Bernice, Auntie, Samuel, Nicole, Gloria, Joseph, Kingsford, and the foundation’s members in other regions. The foundation also thanked co-founder Miss Jacklin Abrafi Asare, currently in the US, for her contribution to the success of the initiative.

As the Life-Giving Family Foundation looks toward the future, the organization remains committed to its mission of supporting marginalized communities and making a lasting impact. They are calling on the public to join them in their work, whether through financial support, volunteering, or spreading awareness of their efforts.
