On January 1st, 2025, the Life-Giving Family Foundation organized a remarkable outreach to assist over 1,000 marginalized individuals in the Kumasi Metropolitan area. Street children, mentally ill persons, refugees, and others in need were the focus of this initiative, as the foundation distributed prepared meals and essential supplies, worth millions of cedis, across various locations including Gee Roundabout, Kejetia, Roman Hill, Alabar, Tinker Base, and Cultural Central.
Under the leadership of Mr. Prince Kofi Yeboah, the foundation provided comfort and relief to those often forgotten during New Year celebrations. Volunteers and staff worked tirelessly to ensure that the most vulnerable members of society had their basic needs met.
Mr. Yeboah, who has personally experienced hardship, expressed the mission behind the initiative. “We want to bring smiles to the faces of the needy, especially street children and mentally ill individuals,” he said. “I understand their struggles, and we aim to make their New Year a little brighter.”
The initiative not only provided food but also offered emotional support. Volunteers engaged with the beneficiaries, offering hope and companionship to those who often face isolation. This outreach was about more than meeting immediate needs—it was about showing these individuals that they are cared for and valued.
Miss Charity Mensah , the foundation’s secretary, emphasized that the initiative was rooted in Christian values. “As Christians, we are called to help the needy, and this is part of our duty,” he said. “We believe that by helping others, we draw closer to God.”
The beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude for the kindness shown by the foundation, and their smiles were a testament to the impact of the outreach. Miss Charity Mensah also called on the broader community to join the cause. “We encourage others to help those struggling in our streets and communities,” he said. “It is through giving that we show love for others, and as Christians, this is one of our most important missions.”
The Life-Giving Family Foundation’s New Year’s outreach serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of compassion and generosity. As the foundation continues its work, this initiative has inspired hope and change within the community, and the foundation remains committed to uplifting the most vulnerable individuals.
The foundation also extended special thanks to its sponsors, patrons, and supporters, including Mrs. Florence Arhin, Dr. Kwaku, Bernice, Auntie, Samuel, Nicole, Gloria, Joseph, Kingsford, and the foundation members from other regions. Gratitude was also expressed to co-founder Miss Jacklin Abrafi Asare, currently in the US, for her contribution to the success of this project.
The Life-Giving Family Foundation is calling on the public to join them in their mission. Those interested in becoming partners or sponsors can reach out through social media or by calling 0553086010 / 0596298950.
