Hon Lawyer Clement Opoku Gyamfi has joined Francis Asenso-Boakye at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), marking a milestone in Ghana’s efforts to link academic research with national infrastructure development.

The Hub, a joint initiative between the KNUST Department of Planning and the Bantama Asenso-Boakye Foundation, is set up as a dedicated platform where research findings can directly inform policy decisions and strengthen the planning and delivery of key infrastructure projects across the country.

As a center of excellence, the Hub focuses on critical sectors including transport systems, housing, energy, water and sanitation, and digital connectivity. By harnessing research-driven insights, it aims to promote evidence-based planning and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure implementation.

Stakeholders at the commissioning highlighted the Hub’s strategic role in fostering collaboration among academia, government, and industry. They emphasized its potential to shape policy, drive innovation, and offer practical solutions to the country’s infrastructure challenges.

Lawyer Clement Opoku Gyamfi praised the initiative, describing it as a forward-looking approach to national development where research goes beyond theory to provide tangible solutions for societal needs. Francis Asenso-Boakye added that the Hub will serve as a benchmark for integrating academic expertise into public service delivery, ensuring policy and practice work in tandem.
