KWAMO TRADITIONAL AUTHORITIES LAUNCHES CLEAN KWAMO PROJECT TO FIGHT AGAINST FILTHY ENVIRONMENT

 

The traditional authorities of Kwamo in the Ejisu municipality have launched operation clean Kwamo project  as measures to ensure clean environment in the community.

During the official launching of the project,the former member of parliament for Ejisu constituency who was former deputy minister of roads and Highways, Hon Kwabena Owusu Adoumi, commended some private institutions like Zoomlion and others for strong partnership established with the government towards the fight against filthy environment.

He said that, Zoomlion Ghana Ltd. measures taken in establishing recycling plants in all regional capitals in the country will yield positive results in promoting environmental cleaniness in the country.

Hon Kwabena Owusu Adoumi commended the traditional authorities of Kwamo for steps taken which he thinks will promote clean environment in the community and appealed to others to support the government on such.

In his part, the chief of Kwamo, Nana Owusu Nyanin said that, since the government alone cannot provide the necessary tools to fight against filthy environment there is a need for traditional authorities and individuals Ghanaian to support the government in worthy course.

The traditional authorities declares a monthly clean up exercise as several dust bins will be position in vantage points in the community to enable the citizens of the town deposit their wastes.

All religious leaders also declares their support to the steps taken by Kwamo stool Land Sanitation project which think will help promote clean environment in Kwamo.
