The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwadaso, Hon. Eric Asibey, has appealed to churches within the municipality to collaborate with the assembly to spearhead development initiatives aimed at improving community infrastructure and services.

Speaking at the maiden Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Kumasi North Men’s Fellowship, held at the Freeman Methodist Church in Kwadaso, Hon. Asibey underscored the crucial role faith-based organizations play in national growth. He announced that the District Road Network Improvement Programme (DRIP) machines, which are used for construction and infrastructure development, are available for churches and other institutions to access for community-based projects. “We want to see churches actively involved in building schools, roads, hospitals, and other facilities that uplift our people. The government cannot do it all alone, and your involvement is key to achieving accelerated development in Kwadaso and beyond,” Hon. Asibey said.

The MCE emphasized that churches, with their large membership and influence, are uniquely positioned to mobilize resources and complement government efforts to transform communities. He encouraged religious leaders to liaise with the municipal assembly to take advantage of the DRIP equipment for projects that will serve both their congregations and the wider public.

Bro. Thomas Adjei Soadwah, Diocesan Chairman of the Kumasi North Men’s Fellowship, expressed gratitude to Hon. Assebey for honoring their invitation and extending practical support to churches. “We are grateful to the MCE not only for gracing our AGM but for opening this door of opportunity. This partnership will empower churches to contribute more meaningfully to the development of Kwadaso,” Bro. Soadwah said.

The AGM brought together church leaders, municipal officials, and members of the community to discuss strategies for deepening collaboration between faith-based organizations and government agencies. Speakers at the event stressed that sustainable development thrives when both the state and religious institutions work hand in hand to address pressing community needs.

With this initiative, the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly hopes to strengthen partnerships that will accelerate the provision of infrastructure and essential services, ultimately improving the quality of life for residents in the municipality.
