The Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, has once again demonstrated his commitment to inclusive leadership and community welfare by providing generous support to the Muslim community during this year’s Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

In a display of solidarity and goodwill, Hon. Anim presented essential food items, including bags of rice, cooking oil, and tomato paste, alongside a cash donation of GHC 10,000. The gesture was intended to ease the burden on Muslim families, enabling them to observe the sacred occasion with dignity while promoting unity within the constituency.

During the presentation, Hon. Anim expressed his appreciation for the Muslim community’s continued support, prayers, and peaceful coexistence. He highlighted that fostering harmony among diverse religious groups remains central to achieving sustainable development in Kumawu. The MP also reassured residents, particularly those in zongo communities, of his ongoing commitment to development projects aimed at improving living standards across the constituency.

As part of the celebration, Hon. Anim engaged with local youth during Eid games, donating football jerseys and a football to encourage sportsmanship and active participation. He urged young people to remain focused on education and skills development, emphasizing discipline, perseverance, and hard work as keys to future success.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Kumawu Central Mosque, Alhaji Abdul Nasiru, spokesperson for Imam Abdul Raheem Naasrudeen, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the MP. He described the gesture as a clear reflection of compassionate leadership and inclusivity, while assuring Hon. Anim of the community’s unwavering support and prayers for his continued success.
