The Parents’ Association (PA) of Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) has demonstrated its commitment to improving education by donating 200 brand-new desks to the school. The donation, aimed at enhancing the learning environment, was officially handed over in a brief ceremony attended by school authorities, PA executives, and students.
Speaking on behalf of the PA, Mr. Abdul Basit Yahuza, the Financial Secretary, highlighted the motivation behind the initiative, emphasizing the association’s dedication to the academic success of students.
“As parents, we recognize the importance of a conducive learning environment. These desks will not only provide comfort but also improve the efficiency of classroom activities. This donation is a testament to our unwavering support for the school and our children’s education,” he stated.
He further expressed gratitude to all PA members and well-wishers who contributed towards the initiative, assuring that the association would continue to play a proactive role in the development of KTI.
Receiving the donation, the Principal of Kumasi Technical Institute, Mr. Gabriel Osei, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the timely intervention. He acknowledged that inadequate furniture had been a challenge for the school and that this donation would significantly ease the burden.
“We are deeply grateful to the Parents’ Association for this generous support. It is a timely intervention that will go a long way in improving the learning experience of our students. We encourage other stakeholders to also come on board and support the school’s development,” Mr. Osei remarked.
