The late Madam Aboagye Yeboah, a respected educationist and one of the founding members of the 31st December Women’s Movement, will be laid to rest after a lifetime of dedication to the advancement of women and education in Ghana.

The day’s observances will begin with her laying-in-state at her residence in Tafo-Nhyiaeso from 4:00 a.m., followed by a burial service at All Saints Catholic Church, Santasi. She will be interred at the Bomso Cemetery, a serene final resting place within Kumasi.

From 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., family, friends, and sympathizers will convene at St. Benedict’s Primary School Park in Tafo-Nhyiaeso to participate in the final funeral rites. The event is expected to attract a large crowd, including key political figures, traditional authorities, government appointees, NDC party executives, and public servants.

The presence of heads of departments, unit leaders, and personnel from various security agencies will further underscore the depth of respect the late matriarch commanded.

A thanksgiving service will follow on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, with the last phase of funeral rites resuming at the St. Benedict’s School Park from 12:00 noon.

Madam Grace Aboagye Yeboah leaves behind a legacy of humility, courage, and community service. Her passing is not only a personal loss to the Mayor and his family, but also to many in Kumasi who were touched by her commitment to social development and education.
