Kumasi Mayor cuts sod for the construction of three projects

The Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Hon Samuel Pyne, on Friday 9/9/2022 led officials from the Assembly to cuts a sod for the construction of three separate projects in various basic schools in the Metropolis.

The beneficial schools including, Six(6) units classroom blocks at Adumanu M/A basic school, three(3) units classroom blocks at Abrepo M/A Methodist basic school and Six(6) units classroom blocks for Africa Faith basic school at Kegyase.

Speaking to the media after a short ceremony, he stressed the need to promote quality education through infrastructure development and vowed that, his outfit as mayor will not entertain any contractor whose activities will promote shoddy works in any contracts awarded to them.

He expressed worry about how some contractors have exhibited shoddy works on some classroom blocks contract awarded to them by the assembly in previous administration and assured that his outfit will not allow such incident to happened anymore.

The mayor however declared his commitment to promote quality education through infrastructure development in the metropolis by constructing more classroom blocks in various basic schools to help reduce students population in classrooms.

On his part, the chief of Adumanu, Nana Kwame Frimpong Akowuah expressed gratitude to the assembly and asked for the completion of the abandoned 3 units classroom blocks started by P.T.A and also to help fence the school from criminal activities.

Finally, the contractors for the three projects assured the Mayor and the headteachers that, they will make sure to complete the project on time scheduled.
