Kofi Job Foundation Saves Young Cancer Patient with GHC 80,000 Life-Saving Medical Support
The Kofi Job Foundation, led by renowned road contractor Mr. Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife, Mrs. Esther Gyebi, has saved the life of a young cancer patient, Savior Agyei, through a life-saving medical intervention amounting to GHC 80,000.

Savior Agyei, a child diagnosed with leukaemia—a cancer of the blood—was placed on the emergency list at the Paediatric Oncology Unit of the Ashanti Regional Hospital at Atonsu, popularly known as Kumasi South Hospital. Her condition was critical, but her family’s inability to raise the required funds for treatment left them helpless and confronting the painful possibility of losing their child.
The situation, however, took a dramatic turn when Mr. Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife, through the Kofi Job Foundation, were informed of the child’s plight and swiftly intervened by providing the full cost of her medical treatment. The timely donation ensured that Savior was able to begin and continue her treatment without interruption.

Following the intervention, the young patient has undergone a series of treatments and has moved from a critical emergency condition to a stable state, restoring hope to her family and caregivers.
During a visit to the hospital on Monday, January 12, 2026, the Public Relations Officer of the Kofi Job Foundation, Mr. Kwame Agyenim Boateng, met with Savior’s mother, Mrs. Juliana Gyebi, who was visibly emotional as she recounted the ordeal her family endured.
She explained that on their first day at the hospital, the family was required to raise GHC 5,000 for scans, medication, and other urgent medical expenses—a sum they could not afford. According to her, the situation left her devastated and fearful that she was about to lose her precious daughter.

Expressing profound gratitude, Mrs. Gyebi said the generosity of Mr. Kofi Gyebi Job and Mrs. Esther Gyebi was beyond anything she could have imagined. She described the GHC 80,000 donation as a miracle that restored hope and gave her child a second chance at life.
Confirming the medical impact of the intervention, Paediatric Oncologist Dr. Alimatu Salam stated that Savior’s condition had worsened primarily due to treatment delays caused by financial constraints. She noted that the support from the Kofi Job Foundation completely changed the course of the child’s treatment.
“After the Kofi Job Foundation’s donation, her treatment progressed smoothly, and her health has improved significantly,” Dr. Salam said, commending the foundation for its timely and life-saving intervention.
The support from the Kofi Job Foundation highlights the critical role of philanthropy in strengthening healthcare delivery, particularly for children battling life-threatening illnesses, and underscores the importance of humanitarian initiatives in complementing the efforts of public health institutions in Ghana.
