Kofi Job Foundation Lifts Burden Off Vulnerable Families in Atwima Takyiman

The Kofi Job Foundation has brought renewed hope and relief to several vulnerable families in the Atwima Takyiman/Denkyemuoso Electoral Area through a major donation exercise that reached more than 60 widows and orphans.

The philanthropic initiative, which formed part of the foundation’s broader humanitarian efforts across the Ashanti Region, saw the distribution of food items and cash support to residents who have long endured economic hardship and social neglect.

Speaking on the impact of the donation, the Assembly Member for the area, Hon. David Asare, lauded the Kofi Job Foundation for its generosity and commitment to addressing the needs of the less privileged. He explained that over 30 widows and 30 orphans within his electoral area benefitted from the intervention, which he described as “timely and transformative.”

According to Hon. Asare, the news of the foundation’s donation drive was first heard on OTEC 102.9 FM, prompting several residents to rush to the station’s premises to register. With the support of the foundation, a smooth registration process was carried out, and each beneficiary was issued an identification number to facilitate fair distribution.

The relief items included bags of rice, cooking oil, frozen chicken, and undisclosed cash amounts aimed at easing the financial strain on these families. The donation provided a lifeline to many who had been struggling silently to meet their daily needs.

“This gesture from the Kofi Job Foundation has lifted a huge burden off the shoulders of many families in my area,” Hon. Asare said. “Some of these widows are elderly and have no steady income. Others are taking care of orphaned children on their own. This support has brought them comfort and restored their dignity.”

In addition to supporting individuals, the Chosen Generation of Jesus Christ Children’s Home, an orphanage within the Atwima Takyiman/Denkyemuoso community, also benefitted from the foundation’s outreach. More than 30 children at the home received food items and essential supplies to improve their living conditions.

The Assembly Member emphasized that the intervention had not only met material needs but also served as a powerful message of solidarity and compassion. “When the needy feel seen and supported, their spirits are lifted. This is more than charity—it is a message that they matter,” he noted.

Hon. Asare extended heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of the Kofi Job Foundation for their continued efforts to support disadvantaged groups across the country. He also called on other non-governmental organizations, corporate bodies, and private citizens to emulate the foundation’s example by reaching out to struggling communities.

The donation in Atwima Takyiman/Denkyemuoso was part of a larger campaign by the Kofi Job Foundation that benefited over 1,000 widows and vulnerable individuals across multiple districts in December 2024.

Residents and community leaders have since expressed their appreciation to the foundation, describing the gesture as a beacon of hope and a call to collective responsibility in building a more inclusive and compassionate society.
