“Kofi Job Constructions Sends Condolences, Rejects Link to Fatal Kumawu Accident”

Kofi Job Constructions has officially rejected claims linking the company to the fatal accident that occurred at Kumawu in the Ashanti Region, which claimed four lives on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, January 21, the company clarified that it is not involved in any projects in the Kumawu area and that none of its trucks operate on that stretch of road. The firm described reports suggesting that one of its vehicles was involved in the incident as “completely false and misleading.”

The tragic accident involved a tipper truck that reportedly lost control and collided with a container structure, resulting in the immediate death of four individuals. Following the incident, speculation circulated online and in the media, wrongly linking the truck to Kofi Job Constructions.

Addressing the claims, the company emphasized that the truck involved is not part of its fleet and called on the public to avoid spreading misinformation that could damage its reputation.

Despite distancing itself from the incident, Kofi Job Constructions expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and extended sympathy to all those affected by the tragedy. The company also urged the public to allow authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to establish the facts and identify the responsible parties.

Concluding its statement, Kofi Job Constructions appealed to media practitioners and members of the public to ensure accuracy and responsibility in reporting, stressing that unverified information can cause unnecessary panic and reputational harm in sensitive matters such as road accidents.
