Kofi Job Constructions Denies Ownership of Truck Involved in Deadly Kumawu Crash
Kofi Job Constructions has denied any connection to the recent fatal accident at Kumawu in the Ashanti Region, which claimed four lives on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, January 21, the company clarified that it is not carrying out any construction work in the Kumawu area and that none of its trucks operate along that route. The firm described reports suggesting that one of its vehicles was involved in the tragedy as “completely false and misleading.”
The accident occurred when a tipper truck reportedly lost control and collided with a container structure, resulting in the instant death of four people. Following the incident, several media reports and public claims alleged that the truck belonged to Kofi Job Constructions.
Responding to the claims, the company emphasized that the truck in question was not part of its fleet. It further urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information that could tarnish its reputation.
Despite distancing itself from the accident, Kofi Job Constructions extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and expressed sympathy to all those affected by the tragedy. The company also called on relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the actual cause of the accident and to identify the responsible parties.
Kofi Job Constructions concluded by appealing to the public and media practitioners to exercise caution and ensure the accuracy of information before publication, stressing the importance of responsible reporting in sensitive matters such as road accidents.
