The increasing crime rate in Ghana is becoming a concern to all. As the citizenry is worried about the turn of events, the police hierarchy is cracking brains on how to end the menace once and for all. They are very concerned about how Ghana can be peaceful without crime.
COP George Akuffo Dampare inherited a police force that was finding it difficult to fight crime. After one month of taking over, he has not been spared with crime issues of various types. Kidnapping, gang rape, armed robbery, murder, serial killings, and many others have been on the top of the list but little has been done to save the situation.
Even though some of these criminals have been arrested and are facing court for the necessary punishments, others have gone unresolved. The fight requires collective efforts and COP George Akuffo Dampare has decided to consult equal brains. He has brought together all the commanders in the Greater Accra Region where crime is on the ascendency for a strategic meeting on how to clear all criminals from the system.
Notable among the commanders was COP Nathan Kofi Boakye. Most Ghanaians have opined that he should have been made the IGP because he has the characteristics and the technical know-how to end crime in Ghana. They believe that his intelligence level is very high and if he is allowed to lead, no criminal will walk free in Ghana.
But COP George Akufo Dampare has seen the need to bring him on board and the two led the strategic crime meeting which pictures available on the official Facebook page of the Ghana Police Service show it was successful. The two are seen together in what looks like they are ready for action and satisfied that crime will soon be a thing of the past in Ghana. The two have combined forces with the other commanders to clear all criminals from the system for the ordinary citizen to be free.
Even though the meeting was held behind closed doors and the details are currently not available to the public domain due to security reasons, a combined force of COP George Akuffo Dampare and COP Nathan Kofi Boakye is a strong bond to serve as morale to all police officers to go after criminals from their hideouts
