KMA COMMISSIONS 3 PROJECTS IN KUMASI

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) together with Kumasi Metro Education directorate early today commissioned a three physical infrastructure projects and handed over to the authorities of these three schools in the Kumasi metropolis.

The projects includes
a 6-Unit Classroom Block with furnitures at Adumanu within the Bantama Sub-Metro.

Commissioning of ultra modern toilet facility at Islamic higher institute at Buokrom for teachers and students and finally, commissioning of ultra modern toilet facility for teachers and students of Obiri Yeboah M/A Basic school at Amakom.

In his welcome address at the commissioning of the projects, Mayor of Kumasi Hon Samuel pyne said he was delighted to see the completion of the project.

He said the projects was supported by the world bank and the Local government ministry promised to promote quality education within Kumasi Metropolis.

Hon Samuel pyne appealed to the teachers and students to inculcate a culture of maintenance to make the classroom block last long for posterity.

He also appealed to the traditional authorities to collaborate with the School Management Committee (SMC) in maintaining the block. “The school belongs to the community so you have to take good care of it” he added.

Hon Samuel pyne advised the students to take advantage of the block and study hard to achieve their future goal.

According to him, good learning environment was important in realizing quality education in the country.

On their part, some of the headteacher of the three beneficiary schools, Madam Emilia Bonsu of Adumanu Primary, Mr Joseph Berfi Mensah of Obiri Yeboah M/ A Basic school at Amakom and Mr Richmond Obeng Assistant headteacher of Islamic higher institute at Buokrom also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Kumasi metropolitan Assembly and the government.
