Kessben Broadcaster Nana Addai Brobbey Enstooled as Ɛkoɔnahene of Asante Mampong

A celebrated journalist with Kessben Media, Nana Kwadwo Addai Brobbey, has officially been enstooled as the Ɛkoɔnahene of the Ɛkoɔna clan within the Asante Mampong Traditional Area.

 

The colourful traditional ceremony, held on Monday, August 18, 2025, drew chiefs, elders, family members, colleagues, and residents who gathered to witness the historic occasion. As custom demands, Nana Addai Brobbey took the sacred oath of allegiance, pledging to serve his people with respect, loyalty, and dedication.

In his first address as Ɛkoɔnahene, Nana Addai Brobbey expressed profound gratitude to Nana Wiredu and the elders of the Ɛkoɔna clan for the honour bestowed on him. He described the enstoolment as a call to duty and promised to uphold unity, peace, and progress within the clan and the wider Mampong community.

Reflecting on his public service journey, he credited his years as an assemblyman for the Asaam Electoral Area as a vital foundation that shaped his leadership. He explained that his record of dedication and selfless service during that period won the admiration and trust of traditional leaders, paving the way for his elevation to the Ɛkoɔna stool.

The seasoned broadcaster also used the occasion to encourage the youth to embrace humility, discipline, and respect as core values that prepare them for leadership. He urged young people to cultivate a spirit of service, stressing that community trust and recognition are earned through consistent dedication and responsible living.
