Kennedy Agyapong best candidate to win Election 2028 for NPP – Richardo Group CEO

Mr. Richard Kofi Addo, Chief Executive Officer of Richardo Group of Companies, dealers in nails, roofing sheets, iron rods and hardware, has emphasized that the Ghanaian political system is “in dire need” of an individual who can fight and “uproot” corruption.
Speaking in an interview, the CEO indicated that in light of the recent corruption cases brought up by the Attorney-General’s office, the Office of the Special Prosecution (EOCO) and other anti corruption institutions against former appointees of the previous NPP-led government coupled with the arrests some of former appointees, it would be difficilt for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to recapture “power” in the 2028 General Elections.
He said it would be “near impossible” if delegates elect Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the Presidential Candidate.
Mr. Addo explained that the ruling National Democratic Congress government, is pushing an agenda of portraying the NPP as a “den of thieves”, with implicating evidences against the former appointees, citing the National Service Authority and the Buffer Stock scandals.
He said whether these cases are political gimmicks or not can only be detrtmined by the courts of law.
The Richardo Group boss wondered how Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who was the Vice President and also Head of the nation’s Economic Management Team, who had been at the jelm of affairs for years, was going to perform a magic to turn the fortunes of the nation around this time.
According to him, Dr. Bawumia should have waited for some years later before launching his presidential aspirations.stressing that these corruption cases are still “fresh” in the minds of Ghanaians.
He explained Dr. Bawumia would not have any message to garner votes for NPP to win the 2028 Elections, if these former appointees are to be found guilty by the courts of law and coupled with the NDC-led government endeavour on the appreciation of the Ghana Cedi.
Mr. Addo opined that the NPP needs an individual who has no blemishes and has “no scandals”, stressing that Kennedy Ohene Agyapong stands tall among all the other aspirants to buttress his position.
He indicated that Mr. Agyapong has proved that he can curb youth unemployment in the country, by building industries and having shown at “certain levels” that he (Agyapong) is not “corrupt” and cannot be tagged as corrupt.
The CEO stressed that the NPP would recapture power through such an individual with with these attributes and urged delegates to weigh their options when casting their votes for “the greater good of the NPP”.
Mr. Addo explained that the youth are in need of jobs amd appealed to delegates to vote for not only personalities but the one (Kennedy Agyapong) who can create jobs to absorb the youth who are tired of the corruption cases that have bedeviled the system. END
