Jaaman Traditional Area Paramount Chief Engages Chief of Naval Staff on Regional Security and Development

The Paramount Chief of the Jaaman Traditional Area, Nnaa Professor Lanjagor Karley II, has recently paid a courtesy call on Vice Admiral Issah Yakubu, the Chief of Naval Staff of the Ghana Navy, to congratulate him on his promotion to the highest rank within the naval forces.

During the visit, Nnaa Professor Lanjagor Karley II seized the opportunity to discuss various pressing issues affecting his traditional area, particularly the need for enhanced security along the region’s water bodies. The paramount chief emphasized the critical role that the Ghana Navy could play in ensuring the protection of water resources and combating illegal activities such as illegal fishing and encroachment.

The meeting, which took place at the Navy Headquarters, also focused on the importance of a strong partnership between the Navy and traditional authorities to address these security challenges.
