Ignore Lies — Adutwum Team Dismisses Alleged Endorsement Reports

The campaign team of Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, has dismissed recent media reports claiming he has endorsed a particular candidate in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming primaries.
In a statement signed by Yaw Opoku Mensah, spokesperson for Dr. Adutwum, the team described the circulating reports as “mischievous and malicious”, stressing that they are fabricated stories deliberately designed to mislead the public and create unnecessary division within the party.
“We urge the public to disregard any mischievous and malicious publication that wickedly seeks to suggest a false declaration of support for any candidate in the impending NPP primaries by Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, as circulated on some online portals,” the statement read.
The campaign emphasised that Dr. Adutwum has not endorsed any aspirant and remains fully focused on his own political vision — working with dignity to restore the NPP’s reputation, strengthen internal unity, and inspire hope among the grassroots as the party positions itself to win the 2028 general elections.
According to the statement, the false publications are part of a wider smear campaign aimed at distracting Dr. Adutwum from his mission of rebuilding trust within the party. The team maintained that they will not be swayed by such tactics and will continue to engage members across the country to consolidate support.
“We remain firmly in the race, working with dignity to restore the party’s reputation and build hope among members as we work toward capturing power in the 2028 general election,” the statement reaffirmed.
The team also called on party members and the general public to treat the false reports with the contempt they deserve, warning that such disinformation only serves to benefit those who thrive on internal conflict.
Dr. Adutwum, a respected figure within the NPP, is widely recognised for his role in advancing education reforms in Ghana. His campaign insists that their priority remains the unity and strength of the party, not premature political alliances.
