Ghanaians at anytime of the day considering the performance of this government are ready to express their anger and dissatisfaction no matter who they find within their zone concerning politics. This is as a result of general economic hardship from the hiking prices of goods and services and total neglect of some vicinities.

Recently, the majority leader who happens to be Member of Parliament for the Suame constituency in the Ashanti Region has a bad experience on his unannounced visit to the constituency to inspect the neglected Suame highway and other general developmental projects. Upon his visit, the angry habitants welcomed him with violence as they pelted stones at him as well as pure water sachets. It was really an embarrassing moment for the majority leader. This made him to take the decision of quoting parliament in the next general elections as he affirmed that, the attack was not for him actually but for the government due to the total neglect of the constituency.

In a news sighted on Ghanaweb is a condition given by the majority leader for which he may rescind in his decision if quitting parliament. He made it clear that, he will contest in 2024 when a specific presidential aspirant is successfully elected to lead the party but did not make the identity available.
