What has changed in the history of protests and demonstrations? Most of the so-called leaders who champion as messiahs against protests and demonstrations, to free the country from dictatorship and bad governance are rather doing worse.

Ironically, these individuals get the opportunity to rule and selfishly crave wealth and vanity forgetting about the people they say they were fighting for.

Nii Ayi Mensah, the fine gentleman who participated in the ‘Krom Ay3 Hye’ demonstrations and got injured in the eye has undergone eye surgery at the Korlebu teaching hospital. The concerned Ghanaian is believed to have been hit in the eye by a rubber bullet when the police fired on the demonstration.

Angry demonstrators threw stones at the police after their initial route was blocked, the police responded to this with tear gas and water cannons. In the ensuing violence, scores were Injured.

Although the eye surgery was successful, the man has disclosed that his right eye can’t see properly. He was visited today by the leaders of the pressure group.
