“I Am Committed to the Development of My People” – Ahafo Ano South West DCE Assures Residents

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Ahafo Ano South West District, Hon. Abubakari Sadiq, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the development and overall welfare of the people of the district, describing inclusive growth and improved social services as his foremost priority.

According to the DCE, although successive governments have made efforts over the years, many communities within the district continue to experience significant development deficits. He noted that critical gaps still exist in key sectors such as education, health, road transportation, rural electrification, sanitation and access to potable water, stressing that his administration is determined to bridge these gaps.

Hon. Abubakari Sadiq made these remarks at Adadekrom during the commencement of his thank-you tour across the Ahafo Ano South West District. The tour, he explained, is aimed at expressing gratitude to party members, traditional leaders and residents for their continuous support, while also engaging them on the district’s development agenda.

He emphasized that the district urgently requires transformational infrastructural projects capable of improving livelihoods and stimulating local economic growth. In this regard, the DCE assured residents that he remains prepared to contribute his utmost, regardless of position, to address the developmental needs of the people.

Touching on ongoing and upcoming projects, Hon. Abubakari Sadiq revealed that several initiatives are underway to uplift the district. He announced plans to soon cut the sod for the construction of a 24-hour market complex, a flagship project expected to boost commercial activities and strengthen the local economy.

The DCE further appealed to residents, opinion leaders and stakeholders to freely share ideas and proposals that would support the development of the district, noting that his office remains open and accessible to all. He called for unity and collective support, emphasizing that sustainable development can only be achieved through collaboration.
“I will do everything within my power to bring more development to the district, and I urge all residents to support this vision for the benefit of our communities,” he assured.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman of the constituency, Hon. David Mawuli, used the occasion to encourage the youth not to lose hope despite current economic challenges. He urged them to maintain confidence in the government, assuring that concrete plans are underway to create employment opportunities for the youth in the near future.

The thank-you tour is expected to continue across several communities in the district, providing a platform for dialogue, accountability and renewed commitment to development.
