Hundreds of women from Asisiriwa and surrounding communities in the Bosometwe  Constituency on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, benefited from a free breast screening and health education program organized by Mrs. Mary Boateng, an aspiring Women Organizer for the constituency.

The initiative, held at the Asisiriwa Community Centre, formed part of Mrs. Boateng’s vision to promote women’s health, empowerment, and wellbeing through practical and community-centered interventions. The event attracted women of all ages who came in their numbers to receive free breast screening services and participate in a comprehensive health talk delivered by qualified medical professionals.

The health team, comprising experienced nurses and community health practitioners, educated participants on breast cancer awareness, early detection methods, and the importance of regular screening. They also provided guidance on nutrition, personal hygiene, and preventive healthcare practices to enhance overall wellness.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Mary Boateng emphasized that the program was not just a one-time initiative but a reflection of her long-term commitment to the welfare of women in the constituency. She noted that empowering women through health education and access to essential care is a critical foundation for community development. “This program goes beyond free screening. It is about showing every woman here that her health matters, her life matters, and that when women are healthy, families and communities become stronger,” she stated.

She further expressed gratitude to the health professionals who volunteered their time and expertise to make the program a success, and to the women who turned out in large numbers to participate in the exercise.

Mrs. Boateng reiterated that if entrusted with the role of Constituency Women Organizer, she would continue to champion initiatives that address the real needs of women — particularly in health, education, and economic empowerment. “My vision is simple — a constituency where women are seen, heard, healthy, and supported. I’m not just asking for votes; I’m showing what I stand for. With your support, I will continue to bring relevant and life-changing programs to every corner of our community,” she assured.

Several beneficiaries of the health outreach expressed their appreciation to Mrs. Boateng for her thoughtfulness and leadership. They described the program as timely, especially for many women who rarely have access to free health screening services due to financial constraints and distance from healthcare centers.

One participant, Madam Janet Osei, said the initiative was life-saving and encouraged other aspiring political leaders to emulate Mrs. Boateng’s proactive approach to community development.

The atmosphere at Asisiriwa was filled with enthusiasm and hope as women departed the venue not only screened but also educated and motivated to take charge of their health.

The successful organization of the free breast screening and health talk further cemented Mrs. Mary Boateng’s reputation as a compassionate and action-driven leader who believes in empowering women through practical solutions and genuine care.

With such impactful community-centered programs, Mrs. Boateng continues to demonstrate the kind of visionary leadership that inspires confidence and sets the foundation for a healthier and stronger constituency.
