Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah Pledges Continuous Road Upgrades in Atwima Nwabiagya South

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving road infrastructure across the municipality, highlighting its critical role in boosting economic activities and improving the living standards of residents.

Hon. Osei Boamah made this declaration during an inspection of the ongoing reshaping works on the Abuakwa–Caana road, a major artery that links several communities and supports vibrant social and commercial interactions. The project, funded through the Assembly’s Internally Generated Funds (IGF), is designed to provide immediate relief to commuters and motorists while the municipality awaits central government assistance for the construction of fully engineered and tarred roads.

The MCE underscored that road development remains a top priority for the Assembly due to its direct impact on trade, transportation, access to education, and healthcare delivery. He explained that, despite financial constraints, the Assembly is committed to efficiently using available resources to implement critical road interventions aimed at easing mobility challenges and opening up communities for sustainable development.

Residents of Abuakwa–Caana have expressed profound appreciation for the reshaping project, describing it as a timely and much-needed intervention. They noted that the previously poor condition of the road had long impeded movement, escalated transportation costs, and slowed economic activities. They believe that the improvements will significantly enhance mobility, stimulate local commerce, and improve overall living conditions.

The residents further appealed to the Assembly to extend similar interventions to other roads within the municipality that require urgent rehabilitation. In response, Hon. Osei Boamah assured them that the Assembly remains committed to equitable development and will continue implementing road improvement initiatives to transform Atwima Nwabiagya South and foster inclusive growth across all communities.
