Hon. Seth Osei Akoto Offers Scholarship Incentive to BECE Candidates with Aggregate 6–10; Donates Thousands of Math Sets to Boost Exam Readiness

In a bold move to promote academic excellence and ease the financial burden on parents, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Seth Osei Akoto, has pledged to award full scholarships to 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in his constituency who obtain aggregates between 6 and 10.
The announcement was made today when the MP distributed 3,200 mathematical sets to final-year Junior High School students across various communities in Atwima Mponua. The donation, which forms part of the MP’s annual educational support initiative, is aimed at equipping candidates with essential tools as they prepare for the crucial national examination.
Addressing the students, teachers, and community leaders at the event, Hon. Osei Akoto stressed the importance of education in transforming lives and communities. He said the scholarship scheme is designed to reward hard work, encourage academic discipline, and create a pathway for future leaders from the constituency.
“I want to see Atwima Mponua produce the next generation of doctors, engineers, teachers, and leaders. If you work hard and score between Aggregate 6 and 10 in the BECE, your education at the Senior High School level will be fully sponsored. This is my promise to you,” the MP declared.
The initiative received widespread applause from parents, teachers, and opinion leaders, who praised the MP’s consistent investment in the future of the youth. Many described the gesture as timely, especially as many families struggle to provide basic exam materials and school fees for their wards.
Some of the beneficiaries, who were visibly excited, expressed their appreciation to the MP for the donation and scholarship pledge. “We are really encouraged by this. Now we know that our hard work can pay off. We thank Hon. Seth Osei Akoto for this opportunity,” said a student from Nyinahin.
School authorities also lauded the MP’s intervention, saying it would motivate candidates to aim higher and prepare seriously for the exams. They called on other stakeholders to emulate the MP’s example and invest in educational development at the grassroots.
The MP concluded his tour by urging the candidates to stay focused, avoid distractions, and give their best in the exams. He assured the constituents that education would continue to be a major priority on his development agenda.
With the 2025 BECE approaching, Hon. Osei Akoto’s initiative has not only provided tangible resources but also renewed hope and determination among candidates aiming for academic excellence in Atwima Mponua.
