The Assembly Member for Atobiase Electoral Area in the Amansie West District, Hon. Samuel Yeboah, popularly known as “God Father,” has donated a set of jerseys, cash envelopes, and a Golden Boot award to support the ongoing inter-circuit gala competition in his community.
Hon. Yeboah commended the organizers for successfully putting together the tournament and expressed his joy at seeing young talents showcasing their football skills. He also used the occasion to highlight some pressing issues affecting the electoral area, including poor road networks, increasing armed robbery incidents, and the negative impact of partisan politics on development.
“Sports is a great tool for youth empowerment, but we cannot ignore the challenges facing our community. We need to come together to address these problems and bring development to Atobiase,” he stated.
Adding to the support, the immediate past Assembly Member, Hon. Stephen Appiah, also donated GH¢2,000 to aid in the smooth running of the competition. He encouraged the young footballers to take their training seriously, as football could offer them life-changing opportunities.
“Many great footballers started from small competitions like this. With hard work and discipline, some of you could go far in the sport,” Hon. Appiah advised.
Some of the teachers who organized the competition emphasized that the primary goal of the tournament is to develop young football talents and instill discipline in them. They urged the players to remain committed to their dreams and see football as a potential career path.
“This competition is not just about winning; it is about discovering future stars for Ghana. We want these young players to take this opportunity seriously,” one of the organizers noted.
The inter-circuit gala competition continues to provide a platform for young footballers to showcase their skills while fostering unity and sportsmanship in the Atobiase Electoral Area.
