Hon. Peter Awere Supports BECE Candidates with Mathematical Sets, Pledges GH¢500 Incentives for Top Performers

In a heartwarming demonstration of commitment to education, Hon. Peter Awere, the Assembly Member for Manso Adubia Electoral Area in the Amansie South District, has presented mathematical sets to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates and announced a scholarship package to encourage academic excellence.
At a brief but significant ceremony held in Manso Adubia, Hon. Awere donated 122 mathematical sets to final-year Junior High School students drawn from five basic schools within his electoral jurisdiction. The donation is part of efforts to support the students in their final preparations for the 2025 BECE, expected to take place in July.
As part of his continuous commitment to promoting quality education, Hon. Awere also pledged to award a cash incentive of GH¢500 each to students who score between aggregate 6 and 10 in the exams. The initiative, which is being funded personally by the Assembly Member, aims to inspire hard work, discipline, and excellence among the candidates.
Addressing the gathering, which included students, teachers, and community leaders, Hon. Peter Awere urged the candidates to remain focused, avoid all forms of examination malpractice, and rely on their efforts to succeed. He emphasized the importance of academic honesty and hard work as the foundation for a successful future.
“This promise is my personal way of motivating our brilliant students to aim higher. Let this be your driving force to study hard and make Manso Adubia proud. You can achieve your goals without shortcuts,” Hon. Awere said.
The items were received on behalf of the beneficiary schools by Hon. Atta Assenso Peter and Mr. Emmanuel Kwaku Boateng, a teacher at Adubia United Basic School. Both men praised Hon. Awere for his unwavering support towards educational development in the area.
“This donation is not only timely but also inspiring. It sends a strong message that the community values education and is ready to support its young ones to succeed,” Mr. Boateng remarked.
He added that such gestures build confidence among students and create a healthy sense of competition that ultimately raises academic standards.
Several of the student beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assembly Member, describing the donation as a morale booster. They promised to make the most of the opportunity and strive to qualify for the scholarship.
“We thank Hon. Peter Awere for thinking about us. This means a lot to us, and we will make sure we study hard to qualify for the scholarship,” said one of the candidates.
Hon. Awere’s intervention has been widely lauded by community members and educational stakeholders as a step in the right direction towards improving educational outcomes in Manso Adubia.
