In an inspiring act of kindness and community spirit, Hon. Nana Buor Sika, the Assembly Member for Breman Kantinka Donkor Fordjour Electoral Area, has once again hosted over 1000 children in his community for a grand Christmas celebration. The annual event, held on Christmas Day, aimed to spread joy and provide gifts to the youth, while also encouraging them to stay focused on their education.
During the celebration, the children were treated to a variety of gifts, including Biscuits, Soft Drinks, cash . The event, now a beloved tradition in the area, brought smiles to the faces of many children, offering them a special Christmas they will not forget.
In his speech to the children, Hon. Nana Buor Sika urged them to prioritize their education above all distractions, particularly the allure of game centers. “While it’s fun to play games, your education should always come first,” he said. “The knowledge you acquire today will shape your future and open doors to greater opportunities. Work hard in school, focus on your studies, and you will be rewarded with success.”
He also encouraged the children to respect their parents and guardians, emphasizing the importance of obedience and hard work in all aspects of life. “Your parents and guardians love and care for you, so be respectful and always listen to their advice,” Hon. Nana Buor Sika added.
Additionally, the Assembly Member spoke to the parents, reminding them of their critical role in supporting their children’s education. “Parents, you are the first teachers in your children’s lives. Ensure that you actively participate in their academic progress, guide them, and give them the tools they need to succeed,” he urged.
The children, thrilled with the gifts they received, expressed their deep gratitude for the gesture. “I’m so happy for the toys and books I got today. I’ll work hard in school and make my parents proud,” said one of the young beneficiaries.
In addition to the gifts, the event also featured live entertainment, including traditional dances and performances, which helped to create a festive atmosphere for all in attendance.
