Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah Visits Nyinahinhene, Thanks Traditional Leadership for Years of Support

Former Minister for Youth and Sports and former Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, has paid a courtesy visit to the Nyinahinhene, Dr Nana Amanpene Twum Boateng II, to express his profound gratitude for the traditional leadership’s unwavering support throughout his more than two decades of parliamentary service.

The visit, held at the Nyinahin Traditional Palace, was aimed at appreciating the counsel, cooperation and goodwill extended to him by the Nyinahinhene and the traditional authorities during his 20-year tenure as the Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua. Hon. Asiamah acknowledged that the guidance and collaboration of Nana Amanpene Twum Boateng II were instrumental in the constituency’s development efforts over the years.

Hon. Asiamah was accompanied by Hon. Isaac Kofi Marfo and Wofa Marfo. In discussions with the paramount chief, he reflected on key development projects initiated during his time in office and emphasized the importance of continuity to ensure that such projects are sustained and expanded for the benefit of the people. He stressed that meaningful development thrives on unity and cooperation between political leadership, traditional authorities and the wider community.

According to the former minister, his commitment to the progress of Atwima Mponua remains steadfast, adding that development must remain a shared responsibility that transcends political office and tenure.

In his response, the Nyinahinhene, Dr Nana Amanpene Twum Boateng II, thanked Hon. Asiamah for the visit and described it as a clear demonstration of respect, humility and continued concern for the welfare of the constituency. He commended the former MP for maintaining close relations with the traditional leadership even after leaving office.

Nana Amanpene Twum Boateng II reiterated the traditional authority’s commitment to working with all well-meaning stakeholders to promote peace, unity and sustainable development in Atwima Mponua, particularly in the areas of education, infrastructure and youth development.

The visit reaffirmed the importance of cordial relations between political leaders and traditional authorities in advancing development and strengthening community cohesion in Atwima Mponua.
