The Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Hon. Frank Yeboah, popularly known as Adwuma Wura, has reaffirmed his commitment to empowering the youth of his constituency through education, skills training, and entrepreneurship.
Speaking on his vision for the constituency, Hon. Yeboah emphasized that his priority is to create job opportunities for young people and ensure that unemployment is significantly reduced, if not eradicated, in Atwima Nwabiagya North and across Ghana.
Commitment to Education and Job Creation
Hon. Yeboah revealed that his strategy for youth empowerment includes improving education standards, providing apprenticeship training, and promoting entrepreneurship. He believes that by equipping the youth with practical skills and knowledge, they can contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.
“I encouraged schools in the constituency to organize spelling bee competitions, which we hold three times a year. This initiative promotes reading among students and has significantly improved their English proficiency,” he said.
Additionally, he has provided startup kits for apprentices and covered the fees of several individuals pursuing nursing education. He envisions supporting the training of native doctors within the next decade to strengthen the healthcare sector in the constituency.
Developmental Achievements Before and After Becoming MP
Hon. Frank Yeboah highlighted several projects he undertook even before assuming office as a Member of Parliament. One notable project was the reconstruction of a collapsed bridge at Aboaboso, which serves as a vital link between Koforidua and Akropong.
“The bridge was damaged, making it difficult for schoolchildren to cross the river and attend school. I took the initiative to reconstruct it, and now students can go to school without any challenges,” he explained.
He also played a crucial role in the establishment of the first pharmaceutical facility in Atwima Nwabiagya North, ensuring better access to healthcare services for residents.
Assurance of More Development Projects
Hon. Yeboah, who was elected as an MP during the December 7, 2024, elections and formerly served as the Director of Procurement at the National Health Insurance Authority, has assured his constituents that his tenure will be marked by continuous development initiatives.
“My vision is clear—I want to empower the youth, improve education, and create opportunities for job creation. I am committed to ensuring that Atwima Nwabiagya North sees remarkable progress under my leadership,” he stated.
With his emphasis on education, infrastructure, and skills training, Hon. Frank Yeboah is poised to transform the Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency into a model district for youth empowerment and sustainable development.
