Hon. Frank Yeboah Empowers Market Women with Interest-Free Loans Under “Adwadifuo Anidaso” Initiative

In a move to boost local trade and empower grassroots entrepreneurs, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Hon. Frank Yeboah, has launched a special interest-free loan scheme dubbed “Adwadifuo Anidaso” to support market men and women within his constituency.

At a brief but impactful ceremony held at the Atwima Koforidua Market Square, Hon. Yeboah disbursed a total of GH¢20,000 to twenty selected market women, each receiving GH¢1,000 to invest in their businesses. The support, according to the MP, forms part of his broader commitment to economic empowerment and poverty reduction.

“This is not just a donation – it’s a revolving loan facility to help our market women grow their businesses. Each beneficiary will repay GH¢50 every week, meaning GH¢200 per month, and the money will be reinvested into supporting other traders in the constituency,” Hon. Yeboah explained in an interview with the media.

He described the initiative as “a practical step toward building financial independence among women traders” and revealed that the project will run in phases to cover other markets and communities in the constituency.

“This is only the beginning. The next batch of beneficiaries will be selected once these first twenty women complete their repayment. We are ensuring that every market woman has a fair chance to benefit,” he added.

Hon. Yeboah emphasized that the Adwadifuo Anidaso loans are completely interest-free and are meant to provide hope and opportunity to traders who may not have access to traditional banking loans.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to make good use of the funds and cautioned against misusing the support. “This is not money for luxury. It is for business growth. Use it wisely to improve your sales and income,” he urged.

The MP also assured traders who could not benefit in the first batch that their turn would come soon, as the program was designed to be inclusive and sustainable.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to Hon. Yeboah for what they described as a life-changing intervention. “We thank our MP for this timely support. We will repay it on time so others can also benefit,” one beneficiary said with joy.

The Adwadifuo Anidaso initiative has been hailed by many in the constituency as a bold and visionary program that addresses the financial challenges faced by small-scale traders and helps build a stronger local economy.
