Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim Pledges Major Development Projects at Kumawu Bodomase Bra Fie Festival

The Kumawu Bodomase community has celebrated this year’s Bra Fie Festival in grand style, with the annual homecoming event serving as a platform to strengthen unity, rekindle cultural pride, and advance discussions on development in the area.

The colourful festival attracted a large gathering of residents, natives living outside the community, and invited guests, creating an atmosphere of togetherness and shared purpose. The occasion was graced by prominent dignitaries, including the Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim; the District Chief Executive, Hon. Kwasi Amankwa; traditional leaders; opinion leaders; and other key stakeholders committed to the progress of the community.

 

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim announced several upcoming development projects aimed at improving living conditions in Kumawu Bodomase and its surrounding communities. He assured residents of his unwavering commitment to spearheading initiatives that would bring tangible development to the area, particularly in critical sectors that directly impact livelihoods.

The MP emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving sustainable development, pledging to work closely with the District Chief Executive, Hon. Kwasi Amankwa, to strategically plan and execute projects that align with the development needs of the district. According to him, unity among political leaders, traditional authorities, and community members remains key to accelerating progress.

Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim also used the occasion to advise the youth to exercise restraint, particularly in reducing excessive alcohol consumption during the festival period. He encouraged them to focus on activities that would enhance their personal growth and future prospects. As part of his commitment to youth development, the MP promised to support young people through educational opportunities and vocational skills training to help equip them for meaningful employment.

In his remarks, the Kumawu Bodomasehene, Nana Baffour Atta Dweneboah, appealed to both the MP and the DCE to strengthen their collaboration for the rapid development of Bodomase. He highlighted pressing needs such as improved road networks, quality educational facilities, and other essential infrastructure, urging leaders to prioritize projects that would directly benefit the community.

Speaking on behalf of the organizers, Mr. Frimpong Marfo, the Public Relations Officer for the festival, expressed deep satisfaction with the success of the event. He noted that the strong turnout and positive engagement reflected the unity and commitment of the people of Kumawu Bodomase. He further prayed for continued peace, progress, and greater achievements for the community in the years ahead.
