The Honourable Assembly Member for the Takorase Electoral Area, Hon. Dominic Bonsu, is set to commission a newly constructed bridge linking Opanin Yaw Nkrumah Street and ‘NDC Chairman Street’ on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

The bridge aims to ease the daily struggles of motorists and residents who have long faced challenges navigating the area due to poor access routes. Community members are expected to witness the commissioning ceremony, which will mark a significant milestone in improving local road connectivity and safety.

In addition to the bridge commissioning, Hon. Bonsu will also cut sod for the construction of an ultramodern 20-seater Water Closet (WC) toilet facility for the Takorase community. The project, which has been awarded to Hamisaac Company Limited, will address longstanding sanitation challenges in the area.

According to officials, 4,300 blocks are already available on site, signaling the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring swift progress. The initiative is expected to enhance public hygiene, reduce open defecation, and provide a dignified and accessible sanitation facility for residents.

Residents have lauded Hon. Bonsu’s efforts, emphasizing that these developments will not only improve their quality of life but also contribute to the growth and modernization of Takorase.

Both events are scheduled to take place on the same day, marking a major step forward in local infrastructure and community development.
