Hon. Dominic Bonsu Supports 150 Widows, Aged and Persons with Disabilities in Manso Takorase

Honourable Dominic Bonsu, Assembly Member for Manso Takorase in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region, has once again demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of vulnerable members of society by extending timely support to widows, the elderly and persons with disabilities within his electoral area.

Inspired by the biblical teaching that “pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble,” Hon. Bonsu on Thursday morning donated food items and cash to a total of 150 beneficiaries. The intervention was aimed at easing their economic burden and ensuring that they feel cared for during the festive season.

Each beneficiary received a package comprising a 5kg bag of rice, cooking oil, tinned fish, tinned tomatoes, spaghetti, as well as a cash amount of four hundred Ghana cedis (GH¢400). The Assembly Member noted that the gesture forms part of his continuous efforts to promote compassion, inclusiveness and social responsibility in Manso Takorase.

Speaking at the presentation, Hon. Dominic Bonsu reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people, particularly the less privileged, stressing that leadership must be reflected in practical actions that improve lives at the grassroots level. He encouraged the beneficiaries to make good use of the items and assured them of his readiness to continue supporting similar initiatives.

Some of the beneficiaries, who expressed joy and appreciation, thanked Hon. Bonsu for the kind gesture, describing it as a major relief, especially during the festive period. They offered prayers for God’s guidance and blessings upon him as he continues to work for the development and well-being of the community.

The donation further highlights Hon. Dominic Bonsu’s dedication to community development and social care, reinforcing the importance of people-centred leadership in the Amansie South District.
