Hon. Dominic Bonsu Gives Back to Manso Takorase Community with Christmas Donations and Support

Hon. Dominic Bonsu, the Assembly Member for Takoradi/Afraso Electoral Area and Treasurer for the New Patriotic Party in the Manso Adubia Constituency, has continued his tradition of giving back to his community through generous donations and support to constituents as part of his annual Christmas charity for 2024.

This year, Hon. Bonsu made a significant contribution to his community by donating a variety of household electrical appliances to loyal customers. His donations included 40 32-inch televisions, 10 rice cookers, 10 standing fans, 10 electric irons, 10 kettles, and mobile phones. The items were distributed to customers based on their regularity and commitment to his services, rewarding their continued support.

In addition to his support for consumers, Hon. Bonsu also focused on assisting vulnerable members of his community. He made donations to 96 elderly individuals, widows, and persons with disabilities. Although his goal was to support all 96, he was able to assist 85 people, with each widow receiving a cash donation of GH₵200. This thoughtful gesture has touched many lives, especially those facing economic hardships during the holiday season.

Hon. Bonsu is also organizing a special event for children in the Takorase/Afraso Electoral Area. On December 29, 2024, he will host a children’s party, where local children will come together to enjoy a festive celebration and receive special treats, making the holiday season even brighter for them.

Further demonstrating his generosity, Hon. Bonsu has planned a meeting with local pastors in the Takorase area on December 29. As a token of appreciation for their spiritual leadership and community service, each pastor will receive a GH₵500 donation.

Hon. Bonsu remains committed to empowering local market women, as he promised during his campaign. He is fulfilling his pledge to support 50% of the women in the local markets by providing GH₵1,000 to 50 market women. This financial aid is intended to help them grow their businesses and enhance their economic well-being.

In another act of kindness, Hon. Bonsu presented cash gifts to 25 widows in his electoral area, spreading Christmas cheer and providing much-needed relief during this special time of year.

Looking ahead, Hon. Bonsu has plans to further support the community’s economic development. On January 2, 2025, he will provide working capital to 50 market women in Manso Takorase, empowering them to grow their businesses and contribute to the local economy.

The beneficiaries of Hon. Bonsu’s donations expressed their heartfelt gratitude for his generosity, noting that his support has made a significant impact on their lives, especially during the Christmas season when financial difficulties are often felt most.

In response to the outpouring of appreciation, Hon. Bonsu shared, “It is truly a privilege to serve my community and give back to those who have supported me. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive difference in your lives. I will continue working tirelessly to improve the well-being of everyone in the Takorase/Afraso area, and I pray for continued blessings for us all.”

Hon. Dominic Bonsu’s selfless donations and continued commitment to the welfare of his community have made a lasting impact. His generosity and leadership continue to shine, ensuring that many families in the Manso Takorase constituency are able to enjoy a joyful and prosperous holiday season.
