Former Defence Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Kwanwoma in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Kofi Amankwah Manu, has called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to prioritize unity and loyalty to the party as the surest path to victory in the 2028 general elections.

The MP made the call over the weekend during a community clean-up exercise organized by NPP polling station executives at Aboabo Kesse in the Atwima Kwanwoma Municipality. The event drew a large number of party supporters, residents, and youth volunteers, who came together to promote environmental cleanliness and communal spirit.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Amankwah Manu reminded party members that internal unity is more powerful than personal interests, urging them to put the party’s collective success above all else. “For us to win the 2028 elections, every member of the NPP—from the grassroots to the national level—must put the party first. Our strength lies in our unity. We cannot afford to let division or personal differences stand in our way,” he charged.

The MP further encouraged party faithful to rally behind whoever emerges as the NPP’s flagbearer after the January 31, 2026 presidential primaries, stressing that loyalty and commitment to the chosen candidate will be crucial in securing victory.

Beyond politics, Hon. Amankwah Manu also touched on developmental concerns in the Aboabo Kesse community. He promised to engage relevant authorities to ensure the construction of speed ramps along the busy Aboabo Kesse highway, in response to residents’ complaints about increasing road accidents in the area.

His assurance was warmly welcomed by the community, with many residents expressing hope that the intervention would enhance pedestrian safety and protect lives.

Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Asuah Dadzie, Assembly Member for the Kwanwoma Electoral Area, commended the polling station executives for spearheading the clean-up exercise, describing their effort as a demonstration of grassroots leadership and commitment to both community welfare and the growth of the party.

Residents also lauded the initiative, noting that sanitation remains one of the pressing challenges in the area. They called for more of such exercises to be sustained, not only for cleanliness but also as a way to foster unity among community members.

The event ended with a renewed sense of solidarity, as Hon. Amankwah Manu and other party leaders reiterated their call for discipline, hard work, and unity at the grassroots level to keep the NPP strong and ready for electoral victory in 2028.
