Hon. Agyemang Ernest Fulfills Campaign Promise with Donation of Three TVs to KG Schools in Agogo-Sukuumu

In a bid to strengthen early childhood education in his community, the Assembly Member for Agogo-Sukuumu Electoral Area in the Asante Akim North Municipality, Hon. Agyemang Ernest, has donated three television sets to three Kindergarten (KG) schools in the area.

The schools that benefited from the donation include Agogo Presby KG, Agogo Ebenezer KG, and Agogo Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) KG.

The presentation ceremony, held in the Christ Apostlic Church auditorium was attended by school authorities, teachers, pupils, and local residents, who commended the Assembly Member for his thoughtful intervention.

Addressing the media after the event, Hon. Agyemang Ernest stated that the donation was part of a pledge he made to his constituents during the 2023 District Assembly elections.

“On December 19th, 2023, when I sought the mandate of the people, I promised to focus on key areas such as education, health, and sanitation,” he said. “The people believed in my vision and gave me their support. Today’s donation is one of the many steps I’m taking to honor that promise.”

He recalled a visit he made on November 14, 2024, to Agogo Presby KG, where he donated learning materials. That visit revealed to him the urgent need for modern learning tools in the area’s KG schools.

“After observing the challenges, especially the lack of multimedia resources, I decided to contribute in my own small way by donating televisions to enhance teaching and learning through visual content,” Hon. Ernest explained.

He emphasized the importance of audio-visual aids in early childhood education, noting that such tools help to improve children’s understanding and retention. He also called on NGOs, corporate bodies, and the government to join hands in supporting local schools.

Heads of the beneficiary schools expressed appreciation for the donation, stating that the televisions will be used to introduce educational videos, storytelling sessions, and interactive learning to make lessons more exciting and effective for the young learners.

Community members also praised Hon. Ernest for his proactive approach and genuine concern for the welfare of the youth in the constituency.

The Assembly Member concluded by reaffirming his commitment to continue working tirelessly for the development of the Agogo-Sukuumu Electoral Area, especially in the area of basic education.
