Hon. Abubakari Sadiq Vows to Deliver Roads, Markets and Social Services for Ahafo Ano South West

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Ahafo Ano South West District, Hon. Abubakari Sadiq, has vowed to prioritise the delivery of critical infrastructure and social services, including roads, markets and improved public amenities, to accelerate development across the district.

Hon. Abubakari Sadiq made this commitment at Adadekrom during the commencement of his thank-you tour of the district, an exercise aimed at expressing gratitude to party members, traditional leaders and residents for their continued support, while also engaging them on the district’s development agenda.

He acknowledged that although successive governments have implemented various interventions over the years, several communities in the district still face developmental challenges. According to him, gaps remain in education infrastructure, healthcare delivery, road networks, rural electrification, sanitation and access to potable water, which require urgent and sustained attention.

The DCE stressed that Ahafo Ano South West needs transformational infrastructural projects that will directly improve the quality of life of residents and stimulate economic growth. He assured the people that he remains fully committed to contributing his quota in any capacity to ensure that the developmental needs of the district are adequately addressed.

Touching on ongoing and planned projects, Hon. Abubakari Sadiq disclosed that a number of initiatives are currently underway to uplift the district. He announced that plans are far advanced for the sod-cutting of a 24-hour market complex, a flagship project expected to boost commercial activities, create employment opportunities for the youth and strengthen the local economy.

The DCE further encouraged chiefs, opinion leaders and residents to actively contribute ideas that will support the development of the district, noting that his administration operates an open-door policy. He emphasized the need for unity and collective responsibility, stating that sustainable development can only be achieved through collaboration.

“I am determined to do everything possible to bring development closer to the people, and I count on your continuous support to achieve this goal,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman of the constituency, Hon. David Mawuli, called on the youth not to lose hope despite current economic challenges. He urged them to remain confident in the government, assuring that concrete plans are underway to create job opportunities for the youth in the near future.

The thank-you tour is expected to continue across several communities in the Ahafo Ano South West District, providing a platform for dialogue, accountability and renewed commitment to development.
