In a remarkable display of leadership and community development, the Assembly Member for Himan Electoral Area in the Prestea Huni Valley Constituency, Hon. Dr. Alex Yaw Baakoh, also known as Nana, has collaborated with his counterpart from Nyabrim Electoral Area, Hon. Thomas Ayensu (Dida), to construct a 2km road and two water projects for the people of Assin Nyabrim in the Central Region.
This initiative was also supported by Mr. Collins Aboagye, popularly known as Nana Two, and Chairman of Nabroso Group of Companies, Uncle Bob. Their collective effort has significantly improved accessibility and provided a reliable water supply for the community, addressing long-standing infrastructural challenges.
The 2km road, which had been in a deplorable state for years, has now been rehabilitated, ensuring smooth transportation for residents, farmers, and traders. The road project is expected to enhance economic activities by facilitating the easy movement of goods and services.
Additionally, the two water projects will provide safe and clean drinking water, reducing the burden on residents who previously had to travel long distances in search of potable water. This intervention is set to improve sanitation and hygiene standards within the community.
Speaking at a brief commissioning ceremony, Hon. Dr. Alex Yaw Baakoh emphasized the importance of teamwork in community development. He expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their commitment to improving the livelihoods of Assin Nyabrim residents.
Hon. Thomas Ayensu (Dida) also reiterated his dedication to championing more developmental projects in the area. He urged community members to take proper care of the newly provided infrastructure to ensure its longevity.
The residents of Assin Nyabrim expressed their profound appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will greatly impact their daily lives. They called for more projects to further enhance the community’s development.
This initiative underscores the power of collaboration between local leadership and private sector players in driving rural development. The success of this project sets a precedent for future developmental efforts in the region.
