Hillary Mante Grabs GHS 5,000 as MTN MoMo Rewards Loyal App Users

MobileMoney Limited (MoMo), a subsidiary of MTN Ghana, has rewarded winners of the first monthly draw of its ongoing “Me Nsa Aka” promotion, reaffirming its commitment to celebrating loyal customers who use the MoMo App for their daily financial transactions.
The draw, which was conducted under the supervision of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) in Accra, saw Mr. Hillary Kwaku Angua Mante from Accra emerging as the overall winner for the month, taking home GHS 5,000 in e-cash. Two other winners, Mr. Charles Benjamin McCarthy and Mr. Joseph King Martey, both from Accra, also received GHS 3,000 each, marking an exciting start to the monthly rewards under the “Me Nsa Aka” campaign.
Speaking at the event, the Senior Manager for Channel Distribution at MobileMoney LTD, Abdul Majeed Rufai, expressed his satisfaction with the positive customer response since the launch of the promotion. He noted that the increased use of the MoMo App reflects customers’ trust and confidence in the platform’s convenience, security, and innovation.
“The MoMo App offers customers value propositions that enhance their experience in undertaking various financial transactions. This promotion provides customers with the opportunity to qualify and win exciting prizes while they enjoy the convenience of making payments, saving, insuring, or accessing banking services through the app,” he stated.
Mr. Rufai further explained that the “Me Nsa Aka” campaign forms part of MobileMoney LTD’s Platform Business Agenda, which seeks to create opportunities for partners and strengthen collaboration within Ghana’s digital financial ecosystem. According to him, since the commencement of the promotion, there has been a significant increase in transactions with partner institutions, an indication of the growing adoption of the MoMo App as a trusted digital financial tool.

Our observation since the start of the promotion is that transactions to our partners have significantly increased, thereby strengthening relationships with ecosystem players in the fintech industry, and we are very excited about that.”

Launched in September 2025, the “Me Nsa Aka” promotion is one of MTN MoMo’s most rewarding campaigns yet, designed to celebrate customers for their loyalty and consistent use of the MoMo App. The promotion offers daily, weekly, and monthly cash prizes, as well as other valuable rewards to customers who use the app for payments, money transfers, bank services, savings, and other digital financial activities.
So far, over 2,000 customers have been rewarded across Ghana with cash prizes, Y’ello Biz routers, and other exciting gifts. With more than GHS 1.5 million worth of prizes still available, the promotion continues to generate excitement as it runs until December 15, 2025. The campaign will culminate with a grand prize of GHS 100,000 for the customer with the highest transaction value during the entire promotion period.
To qualify for the promotion, customers are required to perform transactions above GHS 100 using the MoMo App, which is available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
MobileMoney LTD has also cautioned customers to remain vigilant against fraudulent activities. The company reminded users never to share their MoMo PIN or One-Time Password (OTP) with anyone or allow others to transact on their behalf. Official calls to winners will be made only through MTN/MML’s official line 0244300000, and customers should disregard any suspicious messages or calls from unverified sources.
